Robert Poquis
Born and raised in Peru, Robert Poquis holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality Administration from the Universidad de San Martín de Porres (USMP). In 2005, he relocated to the United States and worked in the service industry for eight years. In 2012, Robert graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in Birmingham, Alabama, and built a successful career as a men’s hairstylist. An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Robert is passionate about exploring new cultures and staying active through hiking, tennis, and gym workouts. His love for adventure has fostered a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and the value of lifelong learning. Robert’s belief in the transformative power of education fuels his commitment to helping others realize their potential, just as he did.
Samira Pinedo
With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, Samira Pinedo has dedicated her career to the development and production of clothing. A natural artist from a young age, Samira has always been drawn to painting, drawing, and design. Her passion for the arts led her to pursue a degree in Fashion Design, a goal she achieved while working tirelessly to support herself through school. She graduated in 2015 and now runs her own company, developing fashion clothing and merchandising. Samira’s journey has taught her the value of education and perseverance. She believes that education is the key to personal growth and a tool for transforming communities. As a member of Andes Horizon, Samira is committed to improving the quality of life for Andean communities through education and empowerment.
Justin Petrusson
Justin Petrusson has built a remarkable career in the mortgage industry, driven by his passion for helping others achieve the dream of homeownership. Raised in Minnesota alongside his sister, Justin earned his degree from the University of Minnesota School of Business before embarking on his real estate lending career in 2003. After moving to Birmingham, Alabama, where he started a new life with his wife, Justin has become a nationally recognized residential mortgage lender, consistently ranked in the top 5 in Alabama. An active community leader, Justin serves as the President of a local networking group and is a graduate of both the Alabama Banking School and an executive leadership program. In his free time, Justin enjoys spending time with his family at Lake Martin, golfing, and traveling. His dedication to service extends beyond his profession, and he brings that same commitment to his work with Andes Horizon, where he aims to create positive change in underserved communities.
Cynthia Zumaran
With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Universidad de San Martín de Porres and a PADE in Corporate Finance from Universidad ESAN, Cynthia Zumaran brings 18 years of experience in the financial sector to Andes Horizon. Specializing in credit risk management and retail strategy, Cynthia has built a career defined by analytical excellence and a commitment to innovation in the banking industry. Cynthia’s passion for helping others extends beyond her professional life. As a certified Professional Motivational Coach, she is deeply committed to personal growth and development. Recognized as a Top Talent at BBVA Banco Continental in 2021, Cynthia’s expertise and leadership make her an invaluable asset to Andes Horizon. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family and pet.
